Canoe Trips

Burton's
Landing
Great for families, groups and beginners, our most popular trip.
Spend the morning or afternoon exploring the historic AuSable River. The first half of your trip winds past homes and cottages dotting the scenery. As you enter the AuSable State Forest the beauty of Mother Nature surrounds you with cedars and pines.
-8 miles, mostly wadeable,
-2.5 hours paddling time.
-Picnic stop options 1.5 & 2 hours

Stephan Bridge Landing
Rated the Best Day Trip by seasoned paddlers. Extend your trip into the “Holy Water”
Enjoy the highlights of the Burton’s Trip and stop for a picnic. Then catch the increase in the current. Watch for wildlife such as deer, heron, otter, and muskrat. Look for brook trout and in deep holes the elusive browns. Follow the great blue heron as he glides down river.
-13 miles, slightly deeper
-4 hours paddling time

Wakeley Bridge Landing
Full day excursion. Paddling experience highly recommended.
The water gets deeper and more challenging below Stephan Bridge. Enter the Huron National Forest, where the scenery remains beautiful. Fishing lodges and cottages dispersed along this section of river give a glimpse into the rich recreation history of the area.
